How long to cook Internal Temperature

What's the Right Internal Temperature When Cooking Well-Done Steak?

A well-done steak should be cooked to 160 degrees. It's very important not to exceed that internal temp when cooking well-done steak, as it doesn't take long for the meat to go from fully cooked to dry and tough. For the best results, take your steak off the heat a few degrees before it reaches 160 and let it rest for a few minutes. While resting, it will continue to cook, and the juices will have a chance to redistribute through your steak so they don't run out when you cut into it.
