How Long to Boil Butternut Squash
Butternut squash can be prepared in several different ways, but one of the quickest and easiest methods is to boil it, which can take 10 minutes or less. Before you can start boiling butternut squash, though, there is some prep work to be done. The first thing you need to do in order to boil butternut squash is peel off the tough outer skin. When that's removed, you then need to remove the seeds from the squash and cut it into cubes. With your squash cubed, add it to boiling water for approximately 7 to 10 minutes. You'll know your butternut squash is done when the cubes are fork-tender.
