How Long to Boil Orzo
Orzo is a small, thin, oval-shaped pasta that doesn't take long to prepare and makes a great side dish for whatever you're making if you're short on time! The easiest way to prepare orzo is by boiling it in salt water for 7 to 10 minutes, as indicated by the directions on the package. This amount of time in boiling water should make the pasta al dente and then you can drain the water out into the sink and serve it!
You could also cook it as you would rice by putting about a cup of dry orzo in a pot with two cups of water and letting it simmer until the orzo soaks in all the water and you're left with a creamier pasta. Bring the water to a boil and then let it simmer for 10 minutes to get a creamier cook on it.
