How Long to Cook Chicken Breast in an Instant Pot
The Instant Pot makes quick cooking a snap! To get the best chicken breasts, place them inside your Instant Pot and secure the lid, ensuring the vent is set to sealed. If you're cooking thawed, raw chicken breasts in the Instant Pot, they will only need to cook on high for 8-10 minutes, but if it's frozen you will need to cook your chicken breasts in the Instant Pot on high for 10-12 minutes. While your Instant Pot does come with a poultry setting, you may yield better cooked chicken breasts if you use the manual high-pressure setting.
Don't worry about how many chicken breasts you add to the pressure cooker, as it does not affect the amount of time the chicken breasts cook. The only thing it affects is how long it takes the Instant Pot to come to pressure before it starts cooking. If you aren't sure your chicken breasts are completely cooked through, use a meat thermometer to test the thickest parts of your chicken breasts, the internal temperature should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit before it's safe to eat.
