How Long to Cook Pork Roast
Pork roast is a slow-cooked crowd-pleaser that will take 30 to 35 minutes per pound to cook in the oven. Set the temperature to 325F and cook the pork uncovered. Pork is dangerous to eat undercooked, so the safest way to be sure you've cooked your pork roast long enough is to take the internal temperature. While 30 minutes per pound is a good rule of thumb, you should also make sure the pork has reached an internal temperature of 180F. Once you've removed the pork from the oven, give it about 30-40 minutes to rest.
