How Long to Boil Fresh Green Beans
Whether you're preparing them as a side, for use as an ingredient in a larger dish, or just on their own, fresh green beans are quick and easy to make. Fresh green beans only need to be boiled for about 4 to 5 minutes to be cooked to perfection.
To start, cut off the ends of your green beans. As you're doing that, bring a pot of water to a boil. The pot should be large enough for the green beans to fit in comfortably. Add the fresh green beans to the water and allow them to boil for 4 to 5 minutes. You'll know the green beans are done boiling when they've become crisp and tender.
Once the green beans are done, simply strain out the water, add butter and seasoning, and enjoy!
