How Long to Cook Chicken Breast in a Crock-Pot
Chicken breasts don't need too long to cook in a Crock-Pot; all you need to do is place your raw meat in a little bit of stock, broth, or water and determine whether you want to cook your chicken on the high or low setting.
- On the high setting, chicken breasts will take 2 to 3 hours to cook.
- On the low setting, plan on 4 to 5 hours to cook chicken breasts in your slow cooker.
If there's any doubt about whether or not your chicken is done, you can always test it with a meat thermometer to be sure. If the temperature reads at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit, your chicken is ready to eat as is or add to any recipe that requires pre-cooked chicken breast.
